Nathan Bryllion Fagin papers, 1925-1951.

The collection of English professor, Nathan Bryllion Fagin, consists of correspondence with literary friends and colleagues; materials relating to the Moscow Theatre Festival of 1932; papers and course outlines from his teaching career at Hopkins; newspaper and magazine clippings; an annotated copy of Edwin Greenlaw's "Syllabus of English Literature," (1928); and items related to his work as director of the Johns Hopkins Playshop. Most of the collection is in English except the pamphlets and newspapers relating to the Moscow Theatre Festival of 1932.

Nathan Bryllion Fagin was a professor of English and drama at The Johns Hopkins University and director of the Hopkins Playshop. Professor Fagin was born in Russia in 1892 and educated in the United States. He received the Ph. D. degree in English from Hopkins in 1932 and taught there until his retirement in 1957. Raiford Kemp Malone, educator and scholar, was born March 14, 1889, in Minter, Mississippi, and died October 13, 1971, in Eastport, Maine.
